Dr Sharmin Shabnam is a health Data Scientist at Leicester Real World Evidence Unit. She holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and graduated in 2020. Her primary interests involve large and complex relational database management, data manipulation, and analysis of linked electronic healthcare records from UK primary and secondary care (e.g. CPRD, HES, ONS, ISARIC ). She is collaborator on multiple large-scale projects including BHF CVD-COVID-UK/COVID-IMPACT consortium, and Monitoring Mortality Inequality Consortium.
