85% of insurers globally indicated that wellness is a top priority (particularly after the onset of COVID-19), and 71% are currently offering wellness products as a value-added service or perk. Wellness implementations are rising globally; with more insurers focusing on this issue by offering wellness-related products, digital tools and services, mental health support, and/or financial planning tools. Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (RGA) and UoL have partnered to create critical insights utilising UK Biobank to examine the importance of a vast number of lifestyle and wellness related factors, such as diet and exercise, on health conditions, such as cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, and to measure related mortality outcomes.
